How does an insured contact Velocity?

To respect the relationship of all parties, Velocity deals exclusively with the appointed broker in all aspects of the client relationship. Any questions an insured has should be directed to their retail agent. Any questions a retailer has regarding an account or obtaining a quote should be directed to the wholesale broker. As background, Velocity Risk Underwriters is a general agency that underwrites risk and manages policies on behalf of insurance carriers. Due to the high level of expertise and industry experience required to place large account catastrophe exposed business, the Velocity commercial division has elected to source business primarily through wholesale brokers.

What is the Risk/Capacity for Commercial Insurance?

Velocity will insure up to $300M policy occurrence limit with a maximum TIV of $1B per location for Large Commercial Business, where the minimum premium is $25K. Whole account, co-participation and primary, buffer or excess limits on shared and layered programs are also available.

Small Commercial Business is available in Tier 1 and Tier 2 coastal areas in Texas and Louisiana, and in all of Florida, up to $10M TIV per policy. The minimum premium is $500.

How does a person contact the wholesale broker with access to Velocity capacity?

Check with your wholesale broker first to find out if they have access to Velocity; if they don’t, please contact us for a list of available wholesale brokers.

What if someone has a complaint or wishes to report fraud?
